Additionally, they must hold a certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI), a diploma from a Polytechnic Institute, or a bachelor’s degree (such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com., BCA, BBA, or B.Pharma).

    The Prime Minister Internship Scheme is a government initiative designed to offer young individuals internship opportunities with India’s top 500 companies. This program aims to equip participants with hands-on work experience and valuable skills by placing them in real-world business environments across different industries.     What are the Criteria for Companies?

    • The Ministry has selected the top 500 companies based on their average CSR spending over the last three years.
    • Companies not on this list can also participate in the internship program, but they must first obtain approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

    What are the Benefits of the PM Internship Scheme:

    • Interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for up to 12 months.
    • A one-time grant of ₹6,000 for incidentals will be directly transferred to interns when they start their internship.
    • The company’s CSR funds will cover the cost of training interns in accordance with current regulations.
    • Companies can allocate up to 5% of their CSR spending as administrative costs, following CSR policy guidelines.
    • Interns will be insured under the government’s insurance schemes.
