  • SSC CGL Syllabus 2024 for Tier 1 & Tier 2 Exam

    The SSC CGL Exam 2024 is expected to be conducted in September 2024. The Commission has provided the SSC CGL 2024 syllabus separately for both tiers of the exam. While many topics will be common, additional topics will be included in the SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus.

    Candidates are advised to carefully review the SSC CGL 2024 syllabus and prepare all topics, as the Commission does not specify the weightage of each subject in the official notification. The SSC CGL notification 2024 is expected to be delayed.

    Candidates should use the SSC CGL exam analysis to guide their preparation. The Staff Selection Commission has released the official syllabus topics in the SSC CGL notification. The exam consists of two phases:

    SSC CGL Tier 1 Syllabus 2024 

    The SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 examination comprises 100 questions, with a total maximum score of 200. Candidates are given 60 minutes to complete the exam. The Tier 1 exam is divided into four sections, each containing 25 questions and carrying a maximum of 50 marks per section.

    SSC CGL 2024 : Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)

    Candidates shortlisted for the SSC CGL 2024 Tier 2 exams must take the Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) while appearing for Paper 1. As per the revised SSC CGL 2024 exam pattern, DEST will be conducted as Paper II of Module 3. During DEST, candidates will be given a passage requiring approximately 2,000 key depressions, with 15 minutes to complete the task and demonstrate their data entry skills.

    The SSC CGL DEST is mandatory for all posts but will be qualifying in nature. Detailed instructions regarding the Skill Test will be provided by the Regional Offices of the Commission.

    Candidates in the OH category participating in the SSC CGL 2024 are exempt from attempting DEST. PwBD candidates eligible for scribes will receive an additional 5 minutes for the skill test.
